About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join our team in a leadership capacity within public relations and marketing communications.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate all public relations and marketing communications activities
• Develop and execute marketing communication plans including strategy, goals, budget, and tactics across varying communication channels
• Analyse, implement, and define communications key performance indicators for client briefs and campaigns
• Develop media relations strategy and secure high-level placements in print, broadcast, and online media
• Manage client relationships and foster relationships with new clients
• Prospect new clients and create necessary communications pitch decks
• Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new contacts within business and industry media
• Manage media inquiries and interview requests
• Create content for press releases, byline articles, and keynote presentations
• Monitor, analyse, and communicate PR results on a daily, monthly, and quarterly basis
• Evaluate opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships, and advertising on an ongoing basis
• Build relationships with thought leaders to grow industry awareness
• Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends affecting clients and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy
• Manage communications team to ensure successful completion of client briefs
• Manage influencer marketing campaigns
• Develop, execute, and maintain crisis management strategies on behalf of clients
• Oversee and coordinate team members to execute public relations and communication plans

Requirements

• BSc Degree in Communications or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a public relations agency (agency experience required)
• Strong account management and corporate communications skills
• Excellent team management skills
• Ability to manage multiple clients simultaneously
