Senior Program Officer at Institute of Human Virology, Nigeria

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Program Officer to join our dynamic team at the Institute of Human Virology, Nigeria. In this leadership position, you will provide overall direction, oversight, and advocacy for tuberculosis program implementation across the State, working in close partnership with National and State TB program teams to ensure project objectives and targets are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership, oversight, and advocacy for TB program implementation in the State
• Support facility and community assessments for the strategic expansion of TB services
• Collaborate with the State TB program and Implementing Entities to create awareness and demand for TB services
• Lead and participate in capacity building activities for public and private (formal and informal) TB service providers
• Support case-finding initiatives, coordinate prompt enrollment, treatment initiation, and monitoring of all diagnosed drug-susceptible (DS) and drug-resistant (DR) TB patients in the State
• Organize and conduct regular health facility and community supervision to ensure delivery of high-quality TB services in accordance with National guidelines
• Ensure timely data collection, collation, analysis, and reporting at all levels
• Support routine data review, analysis, presentation, and utilization across the State TB program
• Support and facilitate public-private mix (PPM) coordination and TB-HIV collaboration within the State
• Track timely implementation of the State work plan and budget
• Prepare reprogramming plans periodically to ensure alignment of new strategies with project objectives
• Deploy appropriate project management tools to plan, review, and track progress on program implementation and resource utilization
• Guide staff and Sub-awardees on project management best practices
• Assist Project Headquarters in coordinating the project portfolio to ensure key indicators are met and project impact aligns with defined strategies
• Ensure submission of quality programmatic, monitoring and evaluation (M&E), financial, and program support materials (PSM) reports
