Senior Materials, Corrosion & Inspection Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Materials, Corrosion & Inspection (MCI) Engineer with extensive technical expertise in Oil & Gas to implement and ensure compliance with all Materials, Corrosion, and Inspection requirements in line with company standards, industry codes, and HSSEQ regulations, while safeguarding asset integrity and reliability.

Required Experience & Expertise

• Minimum 8 years of upstream offshore experience
• Strong expertise in corrosion management and welding metallurgy
• In-depth knowledge of offshore codes (DNV, API, ASME)
• Proven experience with multidisciplinary project execution in offshore or deepwater environments

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure full implementation of Materials, Corrosion, and Inspection (MCI) requirements across the Bonga FPSO asset operating envelope, maintenance activities, and brownfield modification projects, confirming all deliverables meet project specifications and MCI standards
• Drive execution of the Asset Corrosion Management Strategy, including monitoring, maturation, and deployment of value-adding MCI technologies that enhance asset reliability and performance
• Respond to MCI-related technical queries from operations, maintenance teams, and vendors, providing clear and timely guidance
• Execute MCI activities through all project phases—detailed design, fabrication, testing, and installation—and support commissioning in line with company policies, standards, and discipline controls
• Provide technical assurance and ensure completion of all MCI deliverables defined in the Project Controls and Assurance Plan (PCAP) to required quality standards
• Monitor material testing and oversee the integrity of corrosion barriers for the FPSO topsides, subsea hardware, and umbilical systems
• Contribute to the development and review of fit-for-purpose solutions
