Senior Manager (GPS Control Room) at African Industries Group (AIG)

Job Summary

The Senior GPS Control Room Manager is responsible for overseeing 24/7 GPS monitoring operations, ensuring real-time tracking, incident response, data accuracy, and compliance with company security and transport requirements. This role ensures that all vehicles are monitored effectively, alerts are acted upon promptly, and reports are delivered to management as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations of the GPS control room, ensuring continuous 24/7 monitoring
• Lead and manage GPS monitoring officers and operators during all shifts
• Investigate and document all GPS-related incidents and alerts
• Ensure the GPS tracking platform remains functional and up-to-date
• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly GPS tracking reports including vehicle movement, violations, alerts, and fuel monitoring

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Transport Management, Security Studies, IT, Logistics, or a related field
• 5–10 years of experience in fleet monitoring, GPS systems, operations, or control room supervision
• Experience managing teams in a 24/7 environment is advantageous

Additional Requirements

Willingness to travel to all AIG units to supervise GPS teams, provide training, and conduct audits (approximately 25% travel).
