## Title: Senior Commissioning & Start-Up Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer

Job Purpose

The Senior Commissioning & Start-Up Electrical & Instrumentation (PACO) Engineer is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of commissioning and start-up activities for all Electrical, Instrumentation, and Process Automation, Control & Optimization (PACO) systems in oil & gas facilities.

The role ensures that E&I and PACO systems are installed, tested, commissioned, and handed over to operations in a safe, timely, and reliable manner, in compliance with Nigerian regulatory requirements and international standards. This position plays a critical role in bridging the project execution phase and operational readiness, ensuring a seamless transition of facilities into stable production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote Goal Zero Safety and Quality culture and drive compliance at the worksite
  • Enforce Shell and IOGP HSE policies and procedures at company worksites
  • Review and provide input to technical specification documents, P&IDs, and other detailed engineering documents for subsea control systems and other interfacing systems
  • Respond to queries and technical clarification questions from contractors
  • Develop and implement commissioning plans for electrical systems
  • Participate in Design Reviews, Technical Workshops, HAZID, HAZOPs, and other meetings or reviews as assigned in the Scope of Work
  • Interface with existing electrical systems on the Bonga FPSO
  • Ensure safe, timely, and efficient execution and drive progress of work scope based on project schedule
  • Develop testing protocols, commissioning and testing procedures, and operations procedures to ensure operational integrity and readiness
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and safety requirements
  • Maintain and update commissioning documentation, punch lists, and handover packages
  • Witness site activities including Site Receipt Inspection and other critical operational phases
