Senior Account Officer

We are looking for a qualified candidate to fill this position. Position Overview: - To take ownership of the accounting function, ensure accurate and timely month-end close, and deliver reliable financial reports to support management and operational decision-making. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and complete monthly book closures in line with internal timelines. - Prepare and review trial balance, balance sheet, profit and loss statements, and detailed management reports. - Maintain the integrity of the general ledger through accurate postings, journals, and reconciliations. - Oversee accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, and cash flow management. - Support budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and variance analysis, particularly within production operations. - Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal control procedures. - Coordinate internal and external audits and provide required financial documentation. - Collaborate with production, procurement, and management teams to improve financial efficiency and reporting accuracy. Required Qualifications: & Experience - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. - 4–6 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Experience in plastics or industrial production is an added advantage. - Strong hands-on experience with month-end close, financial statements, and management reporting. - Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar ERP systems, with intermediate to advanced Excel skills. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills. - Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and operate effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
