A reputable organization seeks a dedicated individual for this role. Responsibilities - Monitor and authorize entry of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises. - Patrol industrial and commercial premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates. - Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances. - Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences. - Operate detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent passage of prohibited articles into restricted areas. - Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates. - Watch alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment. - Respond to emergencies and provide assistance to employees and customers. - Follow procedures for various initiatives including fire prevention, property patrol, access control, and accident investigations. Requirements - High School Diploma or equivalent. - Proven work experience as a security guard or relevant position. - Knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols. - Surveillance skills and detail orientation. - Integrity and professionalism. - Physical fitness to stand or walk for extended periods and perform occasional physical intervention if necessary.
