Security Coordinator at Reime West Africa Limited

Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Security Coordinator to support our organization's security operations and safety protocols. You will work closely with various departments and senior security leadership to maintain a secure workplace environment and protect both physical and intangible assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Liaise with various departments within the company to address their specific security needs
• Perform security risk assessments to identify potential threats to physical assets (buildings, equipment) and intangible assets (confidential information, trade secrets)
• Verify the proper functioning of security equipment and adjust calibration as necessary
• Collaborate with the Chief Security Officer (CSO) to declare emergencies and ensure security and safety management addresses emergency response needs
• Analyze incident reports and security updates within the security department
• Conduct internal investigations and prevent unauthorized entry and incidents
• Identify unsafe actions, hazardous conditions, and near misses, and take appropriate action or escalate them following established procedures
• Supervise inventory of supplies including locks, alarms, and security cameras
• Develop, coordinate, and report on security systems to management
• Scrutinize security logs and reports to pinpoint potential security risks or breaches of security regulations
• Implement upgrades to the organization's security management systems and technology
• Organize security training programs to ensure employees understand emergency procedures and safety protocols
• Provide technical support and guidance on all aspects of staff safety and security
• Implement and enforce safety and security practices and procedures for the security department
• Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies to address security concerns and investigate security breaches
• Execute basic security tasks, including conducting basic investigations
