## Title: School Accountant
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join Noble Hall Leadership Academy for Girls as a School Accountant. This role is essential to the financial management and operational success of the institution.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain financial reports, records, and general ledgers
- Prepare and analyse budgets and perform general bookkeeping
- Manage billing activities, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Administer payroll and pension-related functions
- Monitor income and expenditure, producing monthly and weekly reports for the Director
- Maintain all school accounts and prepare income and expenditure reports in accordance with financial regulations
- Prepare accounts for submission to the school's auditors
- Maintain and oversee all bank accounts, including the school's debit card(s), completing monthly reconciliations
- Report banking errors to line manager
- Manage all elements of cash handling, including collections, disbursements, banking, and security
- Oversee fundraising and school trip finances
- Complete the school's payroll, ensuring timesheets, starter/leaver/variation forms, and annual returns are submitted within required deadlines
- Process orders through the school's computerized finance accounting system
- Scrutinise and attend to the payment of all invoices and statements of account in conjunction with nominated staff
- Carry out and maintain analyses of costs and other statistical information
- Coordinate and maintain a list of approved contractors and suppliers to ensure best value
- Advise the Directors and school committees as required
- Provide guidance on compliance with relevant legislation and regulations (FCT-IRS, FIRS, PENCOM, etc.)
- Undertake other duties of an appropriate level and nature as directed by the Head of School
