## Title: Sales Assistant
About the Role
Mecer Consulting Limited is seeking a qualified Sales Assistant to join our team in Lagos, Nigeria. In this role, you will provide exceptional customer service, drive sales, and contribute to creating an engaging retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome customers warmly and provide exceptional in-store service
- Understand customers' needs and recommend suitable products
- Maintain product knowledge, including new arrivals, pricing, and promotions
- Ensure the store is clean, organized, and visually appealing at all times
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently
- Manage inventory, restock items, and support stock-taking activities
- Assist with merchandising, displays, and promotional setups
- Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally
- Maintain strong relationships with repeat customers and build brand loyalty
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum BSC/HND qualification; higher qualifications are an advantage
- Minimum 2–3 years' experience in retail sales, preferably in fashion or clothing
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven sales ability and customer service skills
- Strong understanding of fashion trends and styling
- Good organizational and multitasking skills
- Proficiency in basic computer and POS operations
- Professional appearance and polished customer-facing presentation
