About the Role

A reputable organization seeks a dedicated individual for the position of Rig Manager. In this role, you will ensure all preventative and corrective maintenance is completed within the required timescale and in accordance with the maintenance management protocols set out by the Rig Maintenance Supervisor and in compliance with company policies and procedures. You will be responsible for ensuring all mechanical equipment remains functional throughout operations to minimize downtime.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently perform all duties assigned by the Rig Maintenance Supervisor on the day-to-day management and long-range stewardship of the rig
• Ensure all operations are carried out in a safe and conscientious manner and correct or notify responsible persons of any unsafe acts and/or conditions
• Actively participate in and contribute to pre-shift and Toolbox Talk meetings, observation programs, and special operations safety meetings; report any concerns or issues appropriately
• Develop yearly budget plans for unit, OPEX, MAJEX, and CAPEX; exercise appropriate financial diligence in management of day-to-day operations
• Ensure full compliance with flag state requirements and training
• Participate in regular monthly rig visits and conduct bi-annual Trust and Verify Audits
• Become familiar with and competent in the application of the company Management System

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must have a minimum Bachelor's Degree or higher from a technical college or university. In lieu of this qualification, extensive experience as a Rig Manager is acceptable.

Required experience:

• Minimum of 11 years of oilfield experience
• Minimum of 5 years in the role of Rig Manager supporting offshore drilling operations

Required Certifications

• Offshore Survival (OPITO BOSIET/FOET)
• Offshore Medical (OEUK)
• IWCF / IADC Well Control Level 4
