Job description

A reputable organization seeks a dedicated individual for this role. ILRI Nigeria seeks qualified engineering firms and agro-processing tech providers to deploy High-Quality Cassava Peel (HQCP) Mash and Cake processing systems within Nigeria. We are scaling a solution by creating climate-smart feed alternatives while generating jobs, strengthening local value chains and creating opportunities. Scope:
  • Modular facility and process design
  • Equipment procurement and supply
  • Mechanical & electrical installation
  • System commissioning and performance validation
  • SOP development and technology transfer
  • Post-installation technical support
Scale (indicative):
  • Year 1: 50 HQCP Cake centres + 20 HQCP Mash units
  • Year 2: Additional 50 Cake centres + 20 Mash units
This assignment requires firms with demonstrated experience in:
  • Feed processing or agro-industrial installations
  • Multi-location equipment deployment
  • Technical training and operational capacity development
  • Nigeria-based technical presence
Quotation Submission Requirements The technical proposal should include:
  • Understanding of ILRI’s enterprise strategic approach to commercialize HQCP,
  • Methodology for installation and training,
  • Partnership and coordination model with ILRI,
  • Implementation timeline (12 months),
  • Team composition and relevant experience.
The financial proposal should include:
  • Itemized cost for:
  • Equipment procurement and supply,
  • Factory design,
  • Installation and commissioning,
  • Training and capacity development,
  • Ongoing technical support.
  • Applicable taxes and duties,
  • Quotation validity (minimum 90 days).
In addition to the technical and financial proposals, bidders must submit legal and registration documents, including a certificate of incorporation, evidence of legal right to operate in Nigeria, and tax and statutory compliance documents.  Except as otherwise stated, all procurements of equipment must be done locally, using certified fabricators and manufacturers. Bidders should also include the warranty period of equipment and tools proposed in their quotations.  Evaluation Criteria Quotations will be evaluated based on:
  • Alignment with ILRI’s scaling and capacity development approach,
  • Technical robustness and feasibility,
  • Experience with multi-site and phased installations of feed innovation technology,
  • Quality of technology transfer methodology,
  • Cost and value for money.
