## Title: Registrar
About the Position
This position offers a great opportunity for career growth. The Registrar is a Principal Officer and serves as the Chief Administrative Officer of the University, reporting to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day administration of the institution.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day administration of the University
- Serve as Secretary to the Governing Council, the Senate, and other statutory committees
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Council and Vice-Chancellor
- Demonstrate dedication and loyalty to the institution through the Council in the discharge of duties
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Good honours degree (minimum Second-Class Lower Division) in Arts and Humanities from a recognized University
- Recognized professional qualifications such as NIM, NIPR, or ANUPA
- Minimum fifteen (15) years of cognate post-qualification experience, preferably in a university or comparable institution
- Currently holding at least the position of Deputy Registrar in a University
- Proficiency in Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
- Not more than sixty (60) years of age at the time of assumption of duty
- Higher degree(s) is an added advantage
Required Qualities and Attributes
- Demonstrated versatility in the management of staff and students in a tertiary institution
- Proven integrity and intellectual soundness
- Professional expertise and knowledge of University System Rules and Regulations
- Proficiency in Public Service Rules, Financial Regulations, and computer applications
- Physically fit and morally sound with impeccable character
- Free from financial embarrassment
- Ability to command respect and carry colleagues along
