About the Role

An established company is recruiting for a Reconciliation Specialist to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial reconciliation processes, resolving disputes, and ensuring the accuracy of all transaction records.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and continuously improve reconciliation process documents
• Ensure timely reconciliation of all transactions
• Attend to customer and merchant disputes and ensure prompt resolution
• Liaise with banks and payment processors on settlement discrepancies
• Identify, investigate, and escalate discrepancies, errors, fraud, and irregularities in financial records
• Work with relevant departments or partners to resolve issues promptly
• Attend to chargeback requests promptly
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of all financial entries
• Collaborate with the operations team to maintain service quality
• Perform other duties as required

Performance Indicators

• 98% SLA compliance on customer, merchant, and partner escalated issues
• 95% improvement in service quality
• 99.9% SLA compliance on chargebacks and fraud-related escalations from banks

Key Deliverables

• Process documentation
• Daily reconciliation reports

Required Skills and Experience

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage high volume of transactions and meet deadlines
• Basic knowledge of SQL (advantageous)

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or HND
• 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience
