## Title: QHSE Officer
Overall Purpose of Job
Assist in administering and improving the company's quality, health, safety, and environment management programmes in accordance with best practices in the Oil and Gas sector and international QHSE requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide QHSE supervision assistance for all projects, including contractor activities
- Monitor compliance with company QHSE procedures
- Assess work-related risks and ensure that mitigation actions are implemented
- Ensure all work environments meet QHSE compliance standards
- Improve awareness and conformance to QHSE and security standards through effective training and communication
- Stop any activity that poses a threat to personnel and public health and safety
- Assist in QHSE audits at project sites and ensure identified actions are completed
- Conduct in-house QHSE audits and inspections to assess company compliance and follow up on action items
- Report safety achievements and commendable safety practices
- Participate in monthly QHSE meetings and manage follow-up action items
- Assist in equipment calibration
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree minimum
- 3 years of working experience in the Oil and Gas industry in a similar role
- Valid QHSE certifications (ISPoN, NEBOSH, ISO 45001:2018 Internal Auditors, or equivalent)
Required Skills & Competencies
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
- Excellent coordination and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to implement and monitor QHSE management systems
- Computer literacy and ability to manage QHSE databases
- Team player mentality
- Quick thinker with ability to respond rapidly to emergency situations
- Customer service oriented
