## Title: Project Accountant

About the Role

Tokiye Integrated Medical Services is seeking a Project Accountant to manage and monitor all financial activities related to the project. This role ensures accurate budgeting, expenditure tracking, cost control, and financial reporting. Working closely with the project manager, procurement, logistics, and site teams, you will maintain transparency, financial discipline, and compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements. The Project Accountant plays a critical function in ensuring proper financial planning, accountability, and decision support throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management and Reporting

  • Prepare and maintain the project budget, cost forecasts, and cash flow analyses
  • Track and monitor daily project expenses against approved budgets
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management
  • Assist in preparing budget variance reports and highlight areas requiring corrective action
  • Maintain up-to-date financial records and ensure accurate posting into accounting systems

Cost Control and Accountability

  • Verify and reconcile expenses, purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices
  • Ensure all financial transactions comply with approved financial policies and project cost-control guidelines
  • Monitor site spending, reconcile petty cash, and review financial claims submitted by site departments
  • Provide financial insights to optimize cost efficiency and minimize waste

Procurement and Payment Coordination

  • Work closely with procurement and logistics teams to verify and validate supplier invoices
  • Support the processing of vendor payments after confirming delivery and documentation accuracy
  • Maintain a register of suppliers, contracts, and payment schedules
  • Assist in maintaining records of commitments, accruals, and outstanding liabilities

Compliance, Audit, and Documentation

  • Support audit processes and ensure all financial documentation is complete and accessible
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and internal control standards
