About the Role

We are seeking a qualified IGCSE Physics Teacher to join Collins American International Academy. You will be responsible for delivering the Cambridge International curriculum to secondary school students, creating engaging lesson plans, assessing student progress, and fostering a learning environment that promotes critical thinking and academic excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach IGCSE Physics in alignment with Cambridge standards
• Design and implement structured lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs
• Prepare students for internal and external assessments, including mock exams and IGCSE examinations
• Maintain discipline and create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
• Provide academic guidance, mentorship, and constructive feedback to help students reach their full potential
• Participate in training, workshops, and school events to stay updated with educational best practices
• Collaborate with other teachers, parents, and school leadership to support student learning and school goals

Educational Requirements

• Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Physics, Education, or a related field
• Preferred: Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) or equivalent teaching qualification
• Desirable: Cambridge IGCSE training or certification

Experience

• Minimum: 1 year of teaching experience, preferably in an international or IGCSE curriculum school
• Preferred: Experience preparing students for IGCSE exams with a proven track record of academic success

Essential Skills

• Strong knowledge of IGCSE Physics content
• Ability to explain complex concepts clearly and adapt teaching methods to student needs
• Skilled in designing and grading assessments aligned with IGCSE standards
• Effective classroom management and communication abilities
