Procurement Officer - Tech Equipment & Gadget

About the Role

PC Planet is seeking a skilled Procurement Officer to manage the sourcing, negotiation, and acquisition of technology equipment and IT services. You will play a critical role in ensuring the company obtains quality products and services at optimal value while maintaining strong supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and evaluate potential IT vendors, negotiate prices and contract terms for hardware, software, and IT services to achieve the best value
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, assess their qualifications, and monitor their performance
• Develop, review, and ensure adherence to contracts to protect company interests
• Estimate and establish cost parameters and budgets for computer-related purchases and projects
• Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with IT supply chains, including disruptions and compliance issues
• Ensure procured IT products and services meet required quality standards and organizational needs
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, inventory, and supplier information

Required Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Business Management, or a related field
• 1–3 years of experience in procurement, asset management, or supply chain management

Required Skills & Competencies

• Technical knowledge of IT products, services, and software procurement
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong negotiation and decision-making abilities
• Advanced analytical skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office for record-keeping and analysis
• Experience with specialized procurement software
