## Title: Procurement Officer

Job Summary

As the Procurement Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring that the company acquires goods and services of the required quality, at the best possible price, and within stipulated timeframes. The role involves developing procurement strategies, identifying suppliers, evaluating bids, negotiating contracts, and maintaining supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, evaluate, and develop relationships with suppliers and vendors specializing in furniture materials and interior design products
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to secure the best deals while maintaining quality standards
  • Collaborate with projects, store, and production teams to determine material requirements for upcoming projects
  • Develop procurement strategies and plans to meet project timelines and budget constraints
  • Analyze supplier quotations, pricing, and terms to ensure competitiveness and cost-effectiveness
  • Conduct regular cost analysis and market surveys to identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Ensure all procured materials meet company quality standards
  • Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Monitor and track order status to ensure on-time delivery
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, including purchase orders, invoices, and contracts
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies in the procurement process
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in procurement
  • Perform any other tasks as assigned by line manager

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • A higher degree or certificate is an added advantage
  • 2–3 years of experience in procurement, with knowledge of procurement policies, procedures, and experience in developing and implementing procurement strategies
