## Title: Procurement Officer

About the Role

Under the supervision of the Executive Director and technical guidance of the Finance Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for all procurement and logistics activities for AGUF's office in Yola, Adamawa.

The Procurement Officer will ensure transparent, timely, and compliant acquisition of goods and services, maintaining ethical relationships with vendors and adherence to AGUF and donor policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all procurement is conducted according to AGUF and donor-specific policies
  • Coordinate with Finance and Program teams to ensure integrated internal controls and timely vendor payments
  • Maintain transparent and responsive procurement processes
  • Communicate and coordinate regularly with requesting departments to ensure timely delivery of goods and services
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with suppliers and service providers
  • Maintain up-to-date supplier information and market intelligence
  • Support procurement and program staff through guidance and training when required
  • Attend procurement committee meetings and manage procurement staff

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Management, Administration, or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in procurement or supply chain roles
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general computer applications
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Hausa
