Procurement Manager at Blume Nigeria Limited

Job Purpose

To oversee the sourcing and procurement of Garri for Blume Nigeria Limited, ensuring a steady supply of high-quality products at competitive prices. The role involves managing supplier relationships and coordinating timely deliveries to the Sagamu factory in line with production requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Sourcing

• Identify and engage dependable suppliers of Garri (white and yellow variants as required)
• Procure Garri in required volumes based on production demand
• Ensure consistent quality and uninterrupted supply in line with company standards

Vendor Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with local Garri producers and aggregators
• Continuously review supplier performance in terms of quality, delivery, and reliability
• Broaden the supplier base to reduce supply risk and enhance sourcing flexibility

Pricing & Negotiation

• Negotiate favorable prices and payment terms without compromising on quality
• Track market trends and Garri price fluctuations to optimize cost efficiency

Logistics & Delivery Coordination

• Manage logistics to ensure prompt delivery of Garri to the Sagamu factory as required
• Collaborate closely with internal teams to prevent stock shortages or excess inventory

Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly procurement updates, including volumes, pricing insights, and supplier performance
• Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities and agreements in line with audit requirements

Requirements

• B.Sc Degree
• 5–7 years of work experience in procurement or related field
