## Title: Head of Procurement

Summary

The Head of Procurement is responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, and supplier performance. This role involves overseeing purchasing activities, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Document and implement procurement policies and procedures to ensure cost-effectiveness and efficiency
  • Conduct market surveys to develop vendor base and obtain information about prices of various items required
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to secure the best deals
  • Foster strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure long-term collaboration
  • Develop trackers for monitoring procurement expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities (e.g., Rate Contracts)
  • Optimize inventory levels to prevent overstocking or shortages
  • Work with various stakeholders to efficiently manage the procurement function
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with legal and ethical standards
  • Mitigate risks related to supplier performance, contract disputes, and market fluctuations
  • Maintain documentation and audit trails for transparency and accountability
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement team
  • Set performance metrics and ensure continuous improvement in processes

Required Qualifications

  • HND or Bachelor's Degree
  • 10 to 12 years of procurement experience
  • Experience with civil work, construction, and business expansion-related projects
  • Experience with marketing assignments related to activations and point-of-purchase (POP) activities
  • Strong knowledge of standard procurement functions and affairs
