Role Overview

The Procurement & FMCG Partnership Manager will source products, negotiate pricing, manage suppliers and FMCG partnerships, and ensure efficient supply chain delivery for a Trade fair across selected states.

Key Responsibilities

• Source food & household items directly from manufacturers, distributors, and producers
• Build and maintain strong relationships with FMCGs, wholesalers, farmers, and logistics providers
• Negotiate pricing, rebates, credit terms, and delivery timelines
• Verify supplier credibility and ensure compliance with company standards
• Coordinate supply allocation to each city market location
• Manage inventory planning, ordering cycles, and product availability
• Ensure correct pricing, quality inspection, and cost control
• Work with logistics and operations team for deliveries and warehouse planning
• Maintain procurement records, vendor contracts, and performance reports
• Identify and onboard local producers and farmers in each state to strengthen supply chain
• Monitor market trends and input into pricing and buying strategy
• Prevent procurement fraud, stock leakage, and vendor manipulation

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Economics, or related field
• 5 years of experience in FMCG procurement, distribution, retail, or supply chain
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
• Knowledge of Nigerian FMCG, farmers, and commodity supply landscape
• Ability to analyze pricing, volume, margin, and supply risk
• Excellent communication and reporting skills
• Proactive, disciplined, and trustworthy professional
• Ability to travel to markets as needed

Preferred Experience

• FMCG company or distributor background
• Retail chain procurement experience
• Agro-supply or bulk food sourcing networks
