Policy and Advocacy Officer at The Congenital Heart Disease Foundation of Nigeria (CHDF)

Position Overview

We invite applications from suitably qualified candidates for a volunteer position as a Policy and Advocacy Officer. In this role, you will play a key role in advancing the Congenital Heart Disease Foundation of Nigeria's (CHDFN) mission through strategic policy influence and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement advocacy strategies to influence health policy at local, state, and national levels
• Build partnerships with stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and the media
• Draft policy briefs, position papers, and advocacy materials
• Organize campaigns, events, and stakeholder engagements
• Monitor policy developments and advise the foundation on strategic responses

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Proven experience in policy analysis, advocacy, or public affairs (preferably in the health sector)
• Strong understanding of Nigeria's health policy landscape
• Excellent communication, writing, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Commitment to volunteerism and social impact
