Pipe Fitter – Level 3 at Fort Knox Group

About the Role

Fort Knox Outsourcing is seeking an experienced Pipe Fitter (Level 3) to carry out installation, assembly, and maintenance of mechanical piping systems with limited supervision. The candidate must be capable of interpreting drawings and ensuring quality and safety in all tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute pipe installation and assembly in line with specifications
• Read and interpret layout drawings and blueprints
• Conduct hydrostatic testing and leakage inspections
• Supervise Level 1–2 fitters during task execution
• Maintain accurate documentation of work progress
• Communicate effectively with engineers and supervisors

OHSE Responsibilities

• Comply with all safety procedures and ensure safe work practices
• Report unsafe acts or near misses
• Ensure safe handling of tools and materials
• Promote cleanliness and orderliness at the job site

Qualifications & Experience

• Trade Test, Technical Certificate, OND/HND qualifications, or B.Sc Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 4–6 years of experience in pipefitting and installations

Skills & Abilities

• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting ability
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Competent in the use of tools and measuring instruments
• Ability to mentor junior fitters

Knowledge & Technical Requirements

• Knowledge of pipe materials, fittings, and mechanical joints
• Familiarity with pressure testing and system commissioning
