## Title: Physiotherapist (Backup Pool)
Main Purpose
Following a multidisciplinary team approach, the physiotherapist designs and delivers comprehensive, patient-centred preventive and rehabilitative interventions by assessing patients' condition and exposure to risk factors, aiming to maintain and/or improve their physical well-being, for optimal autonomy and participation in all life dimensions.
Key Accountabilities
- Assess the obstetric patient's physical condition and capacity, ensuring the use of the physio form to gather subjective history and physical findings, and set up treatment objectives and plans based on clinical reasoning and relevant multidisciplinary team clinical records
- Elaborate and implement patient-centred physiotherapy interventions applied to the context of obstetric fistulas and other obstetric complications, including critically ill patients, by delivering education, therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and electrophysical agents, with particular emphasis on non-pharmacological pain management
- Ensure that informed consent is offered to each patient before any physiotherapy intervention
- Actively monitor and report on delivered physiotherapy activity by committing to timely and complete clinical records and data collection, critically analysing data to improve the quality of physiotherapy services
- Ensure patient data protection and confidentiality
- Organise and maintain the physiotherapy premises, equipment, and consumables stock
- Report to the line manager any problems arising in the service, especially related to patient care and the loss, robbery, or damage of medical equipment or medicines, facilitating the implementation of appropriate measures
- Ensure a professional, welcoming, and compassionate atmosphere as a pillar for patient care
- Participate in relevant clinical rounds and meetings, fostering a multidisciplinary team approach
