Job Summary

Our client is seeking a passionate, knowledgeable, and student-focused Physics Teacher to join their academic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching Senior Secondary School students, preparing them for internal and external examinations, and fostering a strong understanding of physics concepts through engaging and simplified teaching methods.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Physics to Senior Secondary School students in line with the approved curriculum
• Prepare lesson plans, schemes of work, and instructional materials
• Simplify complex physics concepts to enhance students' understanding
• Conduct practical experiments and demonstrations where applicable
• Prepare students for WAEC, NECO, and other external examinations
• Assess and evaluate students' academic performance regularly
• Provide extra lessons when necessary (based on student availability)
• Maintain accurate academic records and reports
• Foster a positive, disciplined, and supportive classroom environment
• Identify students' learning needs and provide tailored support
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school activities

Requirements & Qualifications

• HND or B.Sc. in Education (Physics) or a related discipline
• Minimum of 3 years' experience teaching Physics at the Senior Secondary level
• Strong mastery of physics concepts and practical application
• Experience preparing students for WAEC/NECO (advantageous)
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• Ability to simplify complex topics for diverse learners
• Teachable, adaptable, and open to continuous improvement
• Attentive to students' academic and emotional needs
• Good moral character and professional conduct
• Punctual, reliable, and well-organized
• Ability to work collaboratively
