About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to support pharmacological services at our clinic. In this role, you will be responsible for stocking, assembling, and distributing medications while maintaining pharmacy operations and ensuring patient safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist with clinic pharmacy operations
• Prepare and distribute medicines to patients
• Maintain pharmacy inventory by checking pharmaceutical stock levels, anticipating needed medications and supplies, placing and expediting orders, verifying receipts, and removing outdated drugs
• Maintain a safe and clean pharmacy environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols
• Fill prescriptions by calculating proper dosages and preparing cost estimates for patients
• Organize medications for dispensing by reading medication orders and prescriptions, preparing labels, calculating quantities, and assembling intravenous solutions and other pharmaceutical therapies
• Maintain records by recording and filing physicians' orders and prescriptions
• Ensure medication availability by delivering medications to patients and departments
• Prepare reports by collecting and summarizing relevant information
• Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed

Required Qualifications

• Pharmacy Technician Certificate (minimum)
• National Diploma in Pharmacy Technology (minimum)
• 1–5 years of clinical experience in a hospital or pharmacy warehouse
• Computer literacy
