About the Role

An established pharmaceutical company is recruiting a Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Lagos. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient care while supporting our clinical operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Dispense, label, and package prescribed drugs to patients and ensure they receive counseling on proper usage to minimize side effects and maximize therapeutic benefits
• Provide clinical advice to patients regarding their drug regimen to encourage compliance and adherence to therapy
• Actively listen to and address patient concerns, with follow-up to ensure medication effectiveness
• Advise on non-prescription remedies including nutrition, exercise, lifestyle modifications, and herbal and natural health products for overall wellness
• Participate in drug procurement using cost-effective decision-making practices
• Identify opportunities for improving business processes and suggest new systems and operational changes to management
• Monitor and audit drug inventory to ensure compliance with all regulatory guidelines and reporting requirements
• Instruct patients on dosage and dietary requirements for medication consumption
• Review over-the-counter (OTC) and medical prescriptions to ensure suitability for each patient
• Provide patients with comprehensive information regarding drug interactions, side effects, and storage requirements
• Maintain accurate records of patient profiles, inventory, and registries
• Ensure strict adherence to policies and procedures governing the security of controlled substances
• Perform additional duties as directed by the Medical Director

Requirements

• Licensed Pharmacy Degree
• Current pharmacy license
• Minimum 2 years of post-NYSC experience in pharmacy management
