We are seeking an experienced professional for this opening.
Position Overview:
- The Payment & Settlement Officer will be responsible for processing payments, managing settlements, reconciling transactions, and ensuring timely disbursement of funds.
- The ideal candidate should have experience in cash handling—preferably former cashiers, POS agents, or individuals with similar financial operations experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process customer payments accurately and efficiently.
- Handle cash disbursement and settlements for completed transactions.
- Verify and reconcile daily transactions.
- Maintain accurate payment records and documentation.
- Support customers with payment enquiries and provide timely resolutions.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with the digital trade team and other departments for smooth operations.
- Report discrepancies, suspicious transactions, or operational challenges.
- Prepare and submit daily/weekly settlement reports.
Requirements:
- Minimum of OND in Accounting, Banking & Finance, Business Administration, or related fields.
- Experience in a cashier role, POS operation, or payment processing is highly preferred.
- Strong computer literacy and ability to use basic financial applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Good problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
- High level of honesty, integrity, and accountability.
