Organization Engineering Representative (OER) at Air Peace

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join our organization. The Operations Engineering Representative has the authority and responsibility for document control and operations engineering, reporting to the Director of Flight Operations (DFO).

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the safe and efficient operation of aircraft in the fleet by generating, implementing, and monitoring relevant Flight Operations technical support functions and documentation
• Review recommendations and directives from manufacturers relevant to operations and propose appropriate revisions to the Operations Manuals
• Ensure safe and cost-effective flight and fuel planning by validating the correctness of flight planning software
• Liaise with Regulatory Authority, Engineering, original equipment manufacturers, and other external entities relevant to flight operations on general operational technical matters, under the supervision of the DFO and Quality Manager (QM)
• Monitor the technical status of the fleet by coordinating and attending meetings with Engineering
• Establish and hold editorial responsibility for the Operations Manual Part B and the Maintenance Error Limits (MEL) in conjunction with the Designated Engineering Manager (DEM), and liaise with the NCAA airworthiness and operational departments to ensure these manuals meet all required legal and Air Peace Limited standards
• Liaise with the Chief Pilot and Head of Training on technical and training-related matters
• Support investigations of technical problems, incidents, and accidents
• Issue technical information bulletins to flight crews
• Coordinate flight tests as requested by the Maintenance Department after aircraft maintenance, overhaul work, repairs, adjustments, or renewal of the Certificate of Airworthiness, in accordance with Nigerian Civil Aviation Regulations (Nig.CARs) and procedures, with DFO consent
• Control and update the content of aircraft library and spare parts forms in coordination with the Documentation Unit
