## Title: Operations Manager

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join our team as an Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee execution of procurement projects from planning to completion
  • Develop and implement best sourcing practices for sourcing officers to ensure optimal results and competitive pricing, including monitoring
  • Coordinate between quoting and sourcing to ensure timely release of quotations to customers
  • Coordinate between quoting, sourcing, and logistics to ensure timely delivery
  • Implement quality control measures during engineering and procurement processes
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety protocols, and client expectations
  • Ensure internal communication between sales, quoting, sourcing, and finance
  • Monitor and improve operational systems, processes, and best practices
  • Track project timelines, budgets, and KPIs; report regularly to management
  • Manage vendor relationships and resolve procurement-related issues
  • Develop and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) for project delivery
  • Identify process bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve efficiency and reduce costs
  • Introduce automation where applicable to enhance operations
  • Prepare reports on vendor performance
  • Implement and maintain quality assurance procedures across operations
  • Conduct operational risk assessments and develop mitigation plans
  • Assist in strategic planning and business development initiatives
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • 5-8 years' experience managing cross-functional teams within FMCG, Oil and Gas, or Engineering and Procurement industries
  • In-depth experience with local and international sourcing
  • Proven expertise in vendor sourcing, negotiation, and logistics coordination
  • Certified Supply Chain Professional certification

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Ability to streamline workflows and eliminate inefficiencies
  • Excellent report writing and SOP documentation skills
  • Strong ability to create feedback loops and performance monitoring systems
  • Ability to manage transitions (e.g., technology implementation)
