About the Role

News Central TV is expanding its dynamic team and seeking talented professionals to join as On-Air Scheduler. This role is central to ensuring smooth channel operations and competitive programming that meets strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Compare and assess channel schedules, identifying potential programme clashes and conflicts at the earliest stage
• Evaluate the impact of last-minute schedule changes, including cost implications and effects on team operations and partners
• Ensure effective communication with programme makers, Channel Controllers, and Genre Controllers regarding schedule updates and placement decisions
• Monitor schedule performance by reviewing audience figures and metrics with the Audience Research team
• Stay informed on current affairs to implement unscheduled changes when necessary
• Support the Head of Planning and Scheduling in developing contingency plans for live events that run over or under time
• Collaborate with the Planning Manager to ensure financial viability of schedules and maintain full communication on all schedule changes
• Identify and support recommendations regarding financial consequences of major schedule modifications
• Manage short- and medium-term schedule operations on a day-to-day basis under supervisor direction
• Serve as key contact for detailed information exchange with programme suppliers and TV business support teams
• Produce competitive and imaginative schedules that complement other programmes while meeting channel strategic objectives
