About the Role

The Offshore Installation Manager (OIM) is in overall charge of and accountable for the safety of all persons on-board, equipment, rig, and all activities conducted. The OIM has total jurisdiction and authority over rig management, including safety, operations, personnel, training, regulatory compliance, budget management, and environmental compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Report directly to and provide support to the Rig Manager regarding day-to-day management and long-range stewardship of the rig
• Ensure the safe and efficient operation and management of the rig, with all drilling operations conducted in accordance with the Client's well program and Company policies and procedures
• Demonstrate personal commitment to the QHSE Management System and ensure all personnel on-board comply with Safe Systems of Work (SSOW), including Risk Assessments, with ultimate approval authority
• Maintain the integrity and stability of the rig while afloat
• Conduct regular emergency drills and ensure crew and equipment preparedness
• Provide comprehensive handover notes for relief personnel and ensure subordinates do the same

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum High School education or equivalent
• Minimum 10 years of oilfield experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the role of Offshore Installation Manager on an offshore installation
• Offshore Survival certification (OPITO BOSIET/FOET)
• Offshore Medical certification (OEUK)
• IWCF / IADC Well Control Level 4
