Job description

We are looking for a qualified candidate to fill this position. Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Field Service Engineer with strong expertise across mechanical, electrical, and electrochemical systems. The ideal candidate will be capable of diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining lithium-ion battery systems, motor vehicles, borehole pumping systems, and a wide range of industrial or household mechanical equipment. This role is ideal for a hands-on problem solver with broad technical knowledge and a passion for fixing and optimizing complex systems. Key Responsibilities Lithium-Ion Battery Systems
  • Perform diagnostic assessments on battery packs, battery management systems (BMS), and related electrical components.
  • Safely repair, refurbish, or replace battery modules and components in accordance with safety standards.
  • Conduct charge/discharge testing, capacity evaluation, and general battery health inspections.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations related to handling and servicing energy-storage systems.
Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and drivetrain issues on light vehicles or machinery.
  • Perform routine maintenance (e.g., braking systems, suspension, wiring, engine components).
  • Install, repair, or configure auxiliary systems such as electrical accessories or control units.
Borehole & Pumping Systems
  • Diagnose and repair borehole pumps (submersible, surface pumps, and control panels).
  • Install, align, and test pumping equipment, piping, valves, and electrical control systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance to ensure optimal water flow and system reliability.
General Engineering & Technical Support
  • Provide hands-on technical solutions for a variety of mechanical and electrical breakdowns.
  • Fabricate or modify components when needed using appropriate tools and methods.
  • Conduct site assessments, recommend technical improvements, and produce service reports.
  • Assist clients with operation guidelines and preventive-maintenance best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electro-mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
  • Proven experience repairing lithium-ion batteries, automotive systems, and/or borehole pumping equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities.
  • Ability to work with wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and electrical testing instruments.
