About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to support Life Spring Development Foundation's (LSDF) monitoring, evaluation, and learning systems. The MEL Assistant will be essential for ensuring timely and accurate documentation of field activities, mentor performance, referral outcomes, and service delivery metrics across all Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH) and Post-Abortion Care (PAC) projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in data collection, entry, validation, and reporting across all SRH and PAC projects
- Work closely with the MEL Manager, State Program Officers, and field teams to maintain high-quality data systems
- Contribute to donor reporting and learning processes
- Support multiple States depending on project needs
Reporting Structure
The MEL Assistant reports directly to the MEL Manager or Coordinator as directed by management, with dotted line responsibilities to the State Programme Officer.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Public Health, Information Management, or a related field
- At least 2-3 years of experience in data collection, entry, or monitoring and evaluation support roles
- Proficiency in spoken and written English and local languages
- Familiarity with digital data tools such as ODK, Kobo Toolbox, and Excel
- Understanding of basic M&E principles, data quality standards, and SRHR indicators
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- Experience working in community health or development programs in an NGO/CSO setting
- Knowledge of Nigeria's Primary Health Care system and community health structures (e.g., CHIPS)
- Basic data analysis and visualization skills
