MHE Technician (Mechanical) at Resource Intermediaries Limited

About the Role

Resource Intermediaries Limited seeks a dedicated MHE Technician (Mechanical) to support manufacturing operations and mechanical engineering activities in Lagos, Nigeria.

Key Responsibilities

• Estimate workload and establish completion dates for assigned tasks
• Assist mechanical engineers in planning and testing mechanical components, equipment, and machinery including engines, instruments, controls, robots, and machines
• Prepare proposals and cost estimates
• Actively participate in on-the-job safety protocols and use all required safety tools
• Review job packs and identify any safety issues prior to work commencement
• Ensure removal or mitigation of safety hazards before proceeding
• Execute work according to established plans
• Record technical history as required by workgroup using tools such as Global Reliability Tool (GRT) and data sheets
• Provide feedback on job pack improvements to Execution FLS
• Request permits and notify Supervisor if permit cannot be issued within 30 minutes of requested time
• Monitor availability of parts and replenish supplies as needed
• Optimize mechanical efficiency by adjusting machinery and equipment settings
• Train co-workers on safe and efficient use of mechanical machinery and equipment
• Maintain a tidy work environment and adhere to industry regulations

Required Qualifications

• Minimum OND (Ordinary National Diploma) in mechanical/electrical engineering, or Trade Test Certificate in the same area
• Physical fitness and good health

Working Environment

External Requirements: Adherence to legal requirements including the Factories Act and BAT EHS Policy.

Internal Responsibilities: Support manufacturing operations by providing material handling services according to set standards and at optimal cost.

Compensation

Monthly Salary: ₦153,000
