Medical Officer at First Cardiology Consultants

This position offers an excellent opportunity for career growth within our cardiology practice. We are seeking a Medical Officer with outstanding medical knowledge and excellent counseling skills to deliver high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to patient medical concerns by reviewing their medical history
• Interview patients, take comprehensive medical histories, and perform physical examinations
• Analyze findings, diagnose medical problems, and explain diagnoses during patient consultations
• Interpret clinical results under the supervision of the Medical Director
• Refer patients to specialists or consultants when further diagnosis or treatment is needed
• Formulate and develop treatment plans in consultation with supervising doctors as appropriate
• Explain procedures and prescribed treatments clearly to patients
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using electronic medical records (EMR)
• Participate in all treatment and preventative healthcare services as delegated by and agreed upon with the supervising Medical Director
• Liaise with other medical professionals within the facility
• Provide clinical instruction to other clinical teams as required
• Maintain confidentiality and impartiality at all times

Required Qualifications

• Degree in Medicine from an accredited university
• MBBS qualification with a minimum of 13 years of professional experience
• Completion of NYSC (National Youth Service Corps)
• Current registration and valid license to practice medicine from the MDCN (Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria)
• Knowledge of general medicine
