About the Role

Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent De Paul Hospital is expanding its dynamic medical team and seeking a qualified Medical Officer to join our healthcare professionals in Lagos, Nigeria.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose diseases, illnesses, and conditions
• Assess the need for therapies and/or medicines and prescribe them accordingly
• Provide information to patients and families regarding diagnosis and treatment goals
• Monitor patient progress and response to therapies and treatments
• Maintain accurate patient records and medical information
• Perform minor and major surgical procedures
• Prescribe laboratory tests and interpret results
• Conduct face-to-face clinical evaluations on the impact of patient injuries
• Prescribe medication and drugs, including dosage and usage, in accordance with governmental guidelines
• Maintain medical quality assurance and quality control standards
• Supervise and train medical personnel and trainee doctors

Requirements

• MBBS degree
• 2+ years of relevant work experience
• Necessary medical certifications
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities
• Good organizational, leadership, and teamworking skills
