Medical Laboratory Scientist at Demyhealth Clinic and Genomic Medicine (DCGM)

About the Role

We are recruiting a Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our team. This role encompasses both technical laboratory work and administrative support, requiring a detail-oriented professional committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

Technical Responsibilities

• Devise and adapt technical procedures and modify equipment as needed
• Stay informed of new analytical and manufacturing methods
• Receive urine samples, collect blood and other specimens for experimentation and analysis
• Test and study blood, urine, and other body fluids
• Manage and operate laboratory equipment
• Maintain equipment and assist in ordering laboratory supplies
• Record all data and results in specified forms (paper and electronic) with accuracy and responsibility
• Maintain laboratory quality assurance and safety standards
• Ensure that all safety guidelines are followed strictly and maintain a clean and orderly environment
• Organize and store all chemical substances, fluids, and compressed gases according to safety instructions

Administrative Responsibilities

• Provide customer service support for incoming and outgoing calls from customers, clients, potential clients, and doctors/centers regarding lab results
• Participate in and support company marketing and branding campaigns
• Coordinate courier services and maintain professional and courteous behavior to ensure customer satisfaction
• Provide registration, clerical, and billing support as required
• Perform duties with understanding and respect for patient rights and strict confidentiality
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements and Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience
• Registered with the Medical Laboratory Scientist Council of Nigeria
• Must reside in Lagos, Nigeria
