Mechanical Technician III at Habrams Energy

About the Role

We invite applications from suitably qualified candidates. As a Mechanical Technician III, you will be assigned to carry out maintenance work and typically report to a supervisor. This position may be filled by a company employee or contractor resource.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Estimate work load to establish completion dates
• Assist mechanical engineers in the planning and testing of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery, such as engines, instruments, controls, robots, and machines
• Help prepare proposals and cost estimates
• Actively participate in the use of all on-the-job safety tools
• Review job packs and identify any safety issues associated with jobs, ensuring removal or mitigation prior to commencing work
• Execute work as planned
• Record technical history as required by workgroup (Global Reliability Tool (GRT), data sheets, etc.)
• Provide feedback on job pack improvements to Execution FLS
• Request permits and notify Supervisor if permit cannot be issued within 30 minutes of requested time

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Discipline-appropriate certification(s) if applicable, or equivalent professional experience
• Strong communication skills with ability to clearly and concisely describe field conditions and recommend remediation steps
• Team player mentality with demonstrated ability to work effectively with persons over whom you may have no direct authority and willingness to assist others
• Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of software programs
