Position Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join our team as a Mechanical Technician I. This role involves carrying out maintenance work on an offshore platform and typically reports to a supervisor.

Main Responsibilities

• Actively participate in the use of all on-the-job safety tools
• Review job packs and identify any associated safety issues
• Ensure removal or mitigation of safety concerns prior to commencing work
• Execute work as planned
• Record technical history as required by workgroup using Global Reliability Tool (GRT), data sheets, and other documentation systems
• Provide feedback on job pack improvements to Execution FLS
• Request permits and notify Supervisor if permit cannot be issued within 30 minutes of requested time

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Discipline-appropriate certification(s) or equivalent professional experience
• Effective communication skills with ability to clearly and concisely describe field conditions and recommend remediation steps
• Strong teamwork abilities with effectiveness when collaborating with colleagues over whom you may have no direct authority
• Willingness to assist others and support team objectives
• Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of software programs
