The Mechanical Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving mechanical systems and machinery to ensure efficient production operations. Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical equipment, machines, and production lines
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance to reduce equipment downtime
• Inspect and diagnose mechanical faults using appropriate tools and techniques
• Install, align, and test new machinery and mechanical components
• Ensure all machines operate safely and efficiently during production
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and reports
• Support continuous improvement projects to enhance machine performance
• Collaborate with production, electrical, and quality teams to resolve breakdowns quickly
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, SOPs, and company policies
• Recommend spare parts, repairs, or upgrades as needed

Requirements

• OND/HND/BSc or Technical Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field
• 2 - 4 years of experience as a Mechanical Technician in a manufacturing environment (FMCG, food & beverage, plastics, packaging, etc.)
• Hands-on experience with maintenance tools and diagnostic equipment
• Understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance processes
• Good problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
