Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified Mechanical Project Engineer to join Debour Nigeria Limited. You will utilize advanced engineering principles to improve existing systems, create new solutions, and troubleshoot technical issues. Key responsibilities include conducting feasibility studies, performing simulations, analyzing technical drawings, and ensuring all products align with quality and cost requirements while adhering to company control guidelines throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Review plans and specifications; manage project scope and changes according to the established plan
- Analyze mechanical problems and formulate effective solutions
- Provide onsite leadership by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhere to responsibilities, and achieve project milestones
- Liaise with consultants, sub-contractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors, and general workforce involved in the project
- Manage all aspects of multiple related projects to ensure the overall program aligns with and directly supports strategic objectives
- Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations to the project team, sponsors, and key stakeholders
- Ensure timely submission and approvals for procurement in line with project specifications
Required Qualifications
- BTech or BEng in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Good understanding and experience of current manufacturing methodologies
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in MEP projects
- COREN registration
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
