About the Role

A reputable organization seeks a dedicated Mechanical Engineer to maintain and optimize mechanical systems within an agro-processing facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on all mechanical equipment within the plant
• Ensure continuous operation of machinery by responding promptly to breakdowns and implementing long-term engineering solutions
• Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of new mechanical equipment
• Collaborate with Production and QA teams to ensure machinery meets operational and safety standards
• Maintain maintenance logs, equipment history, and documentation of engineering activities
• Recommend improvements to enhance equipment reliability, efficiency, and lifespan
• Supervise and train technical support staff when required
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental regulations

Required Qualifications

• B.Eng or HND in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
• 5–10 years' proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer in a manufacturing or industrial production company
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, rotating equipment, conveyors, boilers, dryers, milling and processing machinery
• Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Experience in maintenance planning and spare parts management
• Ability to work under pressure and respond to breakdowns swiftly
• Strong communication, documentation, and leadership abilities

Added Advantages

• Experience in agro-processing, feed mill, cassava processing, or FMCG manufacturing
• Knowledge of SMETA, FSSC, and other industry audit standards
