## Title: Mechanical Engineer - Electromechanical Systems & HVAC Design

About the Role

We invite applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Mechanical Engineer. You will be responsible for the design, supervision, commissioning, and preparation of operational maintenance manuals for electromechanical equipment, including Oil & Gas equipment and piping, hydro-mechanical equipment, pumping stations, HVAC systems (chillers, DX, VRV, and unitary units), ducting, fire fighting systems, and other engineering systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise construction and installation works of building mechanical services
  • Prepare tender documents including detailed drawings, specifications, and Bills of Quantities (BOQ)
  • Participate in tender technical analysis and negotiations
  • Review and approve workshop drawings for construction
  • Liaise with Project Managers, Architects, and other engineers to coordinate engineering project design
  • Prepare and submit project and progress reports as required
  • Prepare test procedure plans and supervise testing of electromechanical equipment
  • Certify test results and supervise equipment commissioning programmes
  • Provide sign-off on completed commissioning activities

Required Qualifications

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering
  • Professional Certification: COREN (Registered Member)
  • Membership with Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) - Corporate Member
  • Membership with Nigerian Institute of Mechanical Engineers (NiMechE)
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in a similar position

Required Skills & Knowledge

  • HVAC load calculations, duct, and pipe sizing
  • Tender document preparation including detailed drawings and BOQs
  • Supervision of construction projects
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit
  • Review of workshop drawings for construction
  • In-depth knowledge of codes and standards for designing building mechanical services

Advantageous Qualifications

  • Additional professional certifications relevant to mechanical engineering
