About the Role

An International School located in Lagos (Mainland) is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Mathematics/Further Maths Teacher who has a genuine passion for teaching and can create a positive and engaging classroom experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver lessons aligned with the curriculum, setting assessment tasks and marking student work
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, academic progress, and personal development
• Provide regular feedback and support to help students achieve their best
• Utilize Microsoft PowerPoint and other digital tools to create interactive and informative teaching materials
• Prepare students for examinations, ensuring comprehensive understanding of subject matter
• Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum development, and school events
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking
• Complete other duties as required by the Principal

Requirements

• HND, BSc, or B.Ed in a relevant discipline
• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in a reputable secondary school
• Proven track record of preparing students for external examinations (WASSCE, BECE, UTME, IGCSE, or equivalent)
• Deep understanding of the Nigerian/British curriculum
• Proficiency with interactive white boards and ICT tools in teaching and learning
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint
