## Title: Mathematics Teacher - Secondary School

Role Overview

Standardlane International School seeks a dedicated Mathematics Teacher to deliver engaging educational instruction to secondary school students. As a Mathematics Teacher, you will create lesson plans, assess student progress, and foster a positive learning environment that supports academic excellence and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and effective mathematics lessons aligned with curriculum standards to secondary school students
  • Create and implement comprehensive lesson plans that meet student needs and educational objectives
  • Use varied teaching methods and resources to explain mathematical concepts clearly and maintain student engagement
  • Design and administer assessments including tests, quizzes, and assignments to evaluate student progress and understanding
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to promote improvement and academic growth
  • Maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment that supports learning and mutual respect
  • Manage classroom behavior and discipline effectively while fostering a supportive atmosphere
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, student behavior, and academic progress
  • Identify students requiring additional support and provide extra assistance or recommend appropriate resources
  • Serve as a mentor and guide to students, encouraging both academic and personal development
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student performance, behavior, and progress
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers, staff, and parents to enhance the overall educational experience
  • Participate in professional development workshops, training sessions, and staff meetings to stay current with teaching strategies and subject knowledge
  • Engage in school events, extracurricular programs, and committees that contribute to the school community

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related subject area
