About the Role

We are seeking a qualified and passionate Mathematics Teacher to join our faculty at Gonzaga Jesuit College. This position offers a great opportunity for career growth and the successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Mathematics across relevant grade levels, preparing students for internal and external examinations, and nurturing analytical and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and effective Mathematics lessons aligned with the Nigerian curriculum and Jesuit educational philosophy
• Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments
• Guide students in solving mathematical problems and applying concepts to real-life situations
• Foster critical thinking, logical reasoning, and numeracy skills among learners
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance interdisciplinary learning
• Participate actively in school activities, staff meetings, and professional development programs

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
• Proven teaching experience in Mathematics at the secondary school level
• Experience as a WAEC examiner (mandatory)
• A Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) or equivalent teaching qualification (advantageous)
• Strong communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills
