## Title: Marketing & Communications Intern – Content Creation & On-Camera Talent
Role Overview
This role is ideal for someone who loves researching, telling stories, speaking on camera, and engaging people. You will help translate Afrihood's vision, projects, and ideas into compelling marketing content—especially short-form videos for social media.
You will be actively involved in content creation, location visits, on-camera presentations, and day-to-day marketing tasks. This is a high-energy, visibility-driven role.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing & Research
- Research real estate trends, housing topics, urban development, and lifestyle themes
- Identify story angles and content ideas relevant to Afrihood's audience
- Support broader marketing campaigns, launches, and brand initiatives
Content Creation & Storytelling
- Develop simple scripts, talking points, and story outlines
- Collaborate with the video team to bring ideas to life
- Assist in content planning and scheduling
On-Camera Presentation
- Appear confidently in front of the camera to present, explain, and narrate content
- Visit project sites, locations, and events for illustrative shooting
- Record at least 4 short-form videos daily (Reels, Shorts, TikTok-style content)
- Communicate clearly, naturally, and confidently on camera
General Marketing Support
- Assist with social media engagement and content optimization
- Support market activation, brand partnerships, and community engagement
- Help monitor content performance and audience feedback
Requirements & Skills
Communication & Personality
- Excellent spoken English and strong communication skills
- Confident, expressive, and comfortable speaking in front of the camera
- Extroverted, energetic, and naturally engaging
- Passionate about storytelling, media, and African development
Marketing & Creative Skills
- Basic understanding of marketing, branding, or communications
- Ability to turn research into simple, relatable stories
